Zack Strowd and Todd Shockman Crowned 2017 Spring Rental League Powered by Sunoco Race Fuels Champions

Zack Strowd (Light) and Todd Shockman (Heavy) were crowned the 2017 Spring Rental League Powered by Sunoco Race Fuels Champions tonight following the series finale race of the five-round series.

As the first Rental League series of 2017, their championship reigns will go unchallenged until our 2017 Summer Rental League, June 28-July 26.

Championship prizes were awarded to the champions and top-three finishers within the two weight divisions during a special ceremony following the racing action this evening.

The five-round series was scheduled to end on March 29. However, after two race nights were cancelled due to severe thunderstorms, the finale round was pushed back to April 12, making competitors extra anxious to race-out the last three races that would determine who would be crowned champion.

As an added twist, due to the postponement of Round 1, the new fleet of CRG Rental Karts were debuted prior to the final round. Therefore, competitors battled against the additional challenge of driving a new kart during the championship round!
